Imperium’s History and Evolution

The Rise of Humanity and the Birth of Imperium

4,000 years ago, humanity took its first steps into space.
✔ Mars was colonized, but space travel was slow and perilous.
✔ The discovery of Igonite on Mars enabled faster-than-light travel, revolutionizing exploration.
✔ Colonies soon spread to nearby systems, leading to contact with other civilizations.

🔹 3,000 years ago, humans encountered the Antilles, a highly advanced species.
🔹 The Antilles shared ship-enhancing technology.
🔹 Shortly after, the Erions provided a breakthrough vaccine that allowed humans to adapt to any atmosphere.

This rapid expansion led to chaos:
✔ Colonists claimed worlds without regulation.
✔ Local wars broke out between humans and native species.
✔ A central authority was needed to impose order across the stars.

Thus, the Federation was born—and later evolved into Imperium, establishing law, control, and a galactic army.

The Government of Imperium

✔ The Emperor is chosen by a council of species representatives.
✔ Once elected, the Emperor rules for life.
✔ Member planets retain autonomy—but must obey Imperium’s laws.

🔹 Not all planets joined willingly.
🔹 Many were absorbed by force, breeding resistance on the galaxy’s fringes.
🔹 For 4,000 years, Imperium has ruled unchallenged—but that dominance now stands on the edge of collapse.

Imperium’s Military Might

To maintain peace, Imperium wields one of the most advanced armies in the galaxy.
✔ Massive war fleets patrol controlled sectors.
✔ Ground armies and mechanized battalions respond to planetary conflicts.
✔ Each member planet must contribute troops and resources.

Yet its true power lies in its elite corps: the Core Centurions.

The Core Centurions – The Emperor’s Blade

The Core Centurions are the Emperor’s elite warriors—his final defense and living manifestation of Imperium’s will.
✔
Trained from childhood in hand-to-hand combat
✔ Wielders of the legendary Gladius, an adaptive and deadly weapon
✔ Sworn to absolute loyalty to the Emperor and the Imperium code

🔹 Contrary to rumors, the Centurions were not disbanded.
🔹 They still serve as the Emperor’s personal guard and elite war force.

There is only one exception: Castor Pollux.
✔ Castor was expelled after defying an unjust order—becoming an outcast.
✔ He remains the only exiled Centurion still wielding an active Gladius.
✔ Imperium sees him as a disgrace—but some within the elite still remember his brilliance.

Imperium vs. the Gnors – The First True War

For centuries, Imperium quelled minor uprisings—but never faced an equal adversary.
✔ The Gnors have become the greatest threat Imperium has ever known.
✔ Their military power rivals Imperium’s—but their philosophy is completely different.
✔ Imperium fights for order. The Gnors fight for dominance through strength.

🔹 The first skirmishes have erupted on the galaxy’s unexplored frontiers.
🔹 If the Gnors advance further, Imperium may face its first full-scale interstellar war.

Technology and Military Strategy

✔ Planet-crushing capital ships, designed to control entire systems
✔ Plasma-armed mechanized troops
✔ Surveillance drones and automated patrols across the galactic rim
✔ AI-assisted military strategy—though not with Aurora’s level of autonomy

🔹 Imperium remains the galaxy’s largest political and military power—but its stability hangs by a thread.

Enemies and Conflicts

Castor Pollux – A Traitor Born of Imperium

✔ Trained as a Centurion—branded a traitor for defying unjust orders
✔ Some officers remember him as a symbol of rebellion
✔ Others see him as proof that the Centurions should never have been disbanded

Cassius and the Gnors – The Coming War

✔ Cassius sees Imperium as a decaying empire destined to fall
✔ The Gnors have begun their expansion—challenging Imperium’s supremacy for the first time
✔ Imperium now faces the greatest crisis in its long reign
